I know that I’m having a depressive episode when:

  1. I don’t want to write.
  2. When I do want to write, I just want to write lists.
  3. I overthink.
  4. I cry for no reason.
  5. I cry over toothpaste and misplaced floss.
  6. I become an impulsive shopper.
  7. I don’t want to use public transportation.
  8. I hate being touched by strangers and weird classmates.
  9. I just want to shriek in delight over small things.
  10. I want to eat lotsa meat.
  11. My boyfriend’s ranting makes me sleepy.
  12. I can’t multi-task.
  13. I’m irritable.
  14. I feel like crying over noise.
  15. I get all lovey-dovey with my boyfriend.
  16. I feel the pressure of trying to earn money.
  17. I get all panicky.
  18. I get obsessed with schedules.
  19. I just want to get out of the house.
  20. I become very introspective.

Due to my inactivity for the past couple of weeks, I am now filled with dread. I feel like I’m losing time. (Or maybe I’m having another manic episode. I wonder how long this will last.) Anyway, I think that one of the reasons I’m feeling like this is because I’m graduating in October and I know that things will probably be totally different after. Now, I feel like I need to make up for all the things that I have failed to accomplish or do.

Well, I never thought I’d get to #125 but I did.  And there are still so many more [things/people/places/events, etc.] in my life that I love and appreciate.  This gives me perspective when I’m feeling bad.  One negative thing in the day can ruin and overshadow the other good things.  When I do this, in writing or in my mind, I remember that it doesn’t have to be that way.  I have so many things to be thankful for.

I choose to stay positive.
